Neponset Rowing Club
Useful information for parents
Practices, regattas and beyond!
Our rowing fees and fundraisers cover our operating costs: coaching, boat transportation, insurance, regatta fees, etc. New fours's (the boat we use most in our youth programs) cost $20,000 and up. All of the equipment we use has been purchased with the funds raised through fundraising and generous donations. Without public funding through the Town, we rely on community fundraising for the continued success and longevity of rowing on the Neponset.
Volunteers are part of the club, too
Much of the success of our programs depends on parental/participant volunteer efforts. Contact us at jburbridge@neponsetrowing.org if you're interested in volunteering.
Here are some ways you can help:
-
Join a committee – help us with fundraising, marketing, and more.
-
Know CRM? We need help getting our mailing and donor lists organized.
-
Volunteer to help at fundraising events – we are always looking helping hands.
-
Crew parents: Shop for food and paper goods for race day and/or prepare a side dish, or transport food, tents, and sometimes rowers.
-
Donate items to the "boathouse" – coaches can share a wish list.
-
Handyman/electrician… we often need something repaired.
Help us change lives.
